Asalaamu Alaykum Dear brothers and sisters.

As you all aware of, there is no central government that runs schools, hospitals and all the other sectors in somalia or in our beloved regions (i.e Gedo and Galguduud). Therefore, we as SADE community who live in diaspora need to fill those roles, in order to build the basic infrastructure in our regions.

So the question is where can we start ?

Luckily some of our brothers and sisters who live in abroad  have started doing something about it by establishing a relief organisation called HIRDA www.hirda.org. They are currently doing a lot of different projects in both regions (Gedo and Galguduud).

Ongoing projects in Gedo/Bardhere:

1.         Bardhera Primary School :> 680 students from grade one

to grade eight attend the school.

2.        Dr Qaasim Primary School :> A total of 390 students

            attend the school

3.          Bardhere Farm Project

4.          Bardhere vocational training project

5.          Bardhere Primary health care school:>36 students most

of  them women attend the course

6.         Bardhere Adult education School:>490 student attend the

             school.

7.         Bardhere women Empowerment program:

Ongoing project in Cabudwaak:

1.             Abudwak Secondary school (under construction)

2.             Abudwak Primary school, funded by both HIRDA

               and  SANA

it has 860 students the largest of its kind in Galguduud

                 region

3.             Abudwak adult education:> 340 people attend the

                 school

4.             Abdudwak women empowerment project

These and many other projects are kind thing they do, however, as you know, all these need some sort of finance. At the moment, the money they use to runn these projects are donated by some of us who live in diaspora and some external NGOs. Therefore, in order these and many other projects to run smoothly we need to donate generously, after all the benefiters are our people.

Here are some facts:

1. if you donate $10 dollar a month, three children can go to school

2. if you donate $100 a year, thirty children can successfully

    finish   a   academic year.

3. If a hundred of us donate $10 a month, a generator can be

    bought for

Bardhere Carpentry School for electrical supply

4. If hundred of us donate $100 a year, it can be used

to print 4800 textbooks for all the schools

Dear brothers and sisters, I am sure every one of us can at least donate $10 a month for Allah sake to help these projects.

Thank you for having a time to read this information.

Please visit www.HIRDA.org for more information regarding these and the future projects.
